Heid - Pilgrim Of The Sublunary World

Dark Ambient / Industrial. Atmosphere of this music is quite similar to that of the “Eraserhead” OST (old psychedelic David Lynch’s movie), but Heid’s compositions are much more varied.

Heid is a former musical collective from the north of Sweden. The project split up not too long ago when the people behind it decided to go separate ways and form L.E.A.K and Survival Unit. Heid released some albums before its demise but due to various reasons, some of these experienced difficulties in reaching the listeners. Pilgrim of the Sublunary World is the epitaph of Heid and it is made available by Sweden’s Cold Meat Industry. The first 2000 copies comes in a 6-panel digi-pack.

Allerseelen - Sturmlieder

“Very rare and out of print. Allerseelen are the experimental, post-industrial and military pop music works of Austrian musician Kadmon. This album will appeal to those who have artists such as Blood Axis, Current 93 or Death In June already in their collections. Their sound could be categorized as neo folk or apocalyptic folk, it has a vein of dark brooding, nearly industrial sound, with bits of late 1920s Berlin thrown in. Theatrical, and full of dread. According to reviews, “Sturmlieder will be a welcome CD for any who follow innovative avant-garde industrialism. “Storm Songs” dredges the roots of pagan mythology against the materialist towers of modernity with hypnotic and contorted results. Spiritual classicism clashes with the relentless and oftentimes brutal technology of mechanical repetition and squealing noise welding together stark dichotomous montage with esotericism in a myriad of poses. Kadmon, spiritual center for the renowned act, chants and orchestrates a dark symphony that unveils itself from pummeling and fumigating chorus to introspective soundscapes of susurrated whisper and mesmerizing ambience as the album progresses. With each track a creative gem is mined, whether by brutal strokes or by careful dream-craft, there is no mistaking the refinement of each in the end, evocative and recondite at the same time.” (description taken from http://www.velvetgarden.net/cds.html)
“If the pre-Christian Germanic barbarians had access to samplers, this is the record they would have made.”
Recorded 1994-1996.

meaningless

just some splutter:

he disconnected himself
half past midnight from the space behind a window repleted by blackness contaminated with concrete orange lights and human bodies a sound of buzzer of an ambulance rushing somewhere it sounds stupid awkward like shameless laughter of a women it is significant that this redundant whizz marks the hurry to save someone’s health and life to disturb even an illusory silence in such tasteless way only to save some chrysalis by pushing back the guts to the corpse from this song of an idiot I read it all
a rush for illusion a race with which I have disconnected myself when I ceased to see an aim in any aim teared off my glance and turned it into praiseworthy cold
Nothing.

Cultus - Hymns of Descending

This is unique album in whole as well as in Cultus discography. Melancholic, antisocial black metal with organic and noisy production. This music is far more authentic than some Shining-like trendy bullshit. Pure expression of the pain of a nordic soul.
Below you can see an English translation of “Verdronken Vlinder” lyric.

Drowned Butterfly
Thus to die on the water with your wings made of paper,
floating about, after flying in the clouds you’re floating here
with your colours that fade without searching without asking
finally lay down to rest forever and the flowers that you cherished
odours that you knew, everything you can forget now
on the water you lull back and forth
Thus to die on the water with your wings made of paper.

As a butterfly that should be able to fly up into the blue sky
as a butterfly always free and on the run for life itself
I wish to die on the water, but that’s a care for later
I want to fly now like a butterfly and lull on the leafs of the flowers
But I can’t reach that high, so I fly only in my dreams
Always I’m on the run for life
As a butterfly that should be able to fly up into the blue sky

To live I thought you’d have to be a butterfly
To fly far away from all life, all pain
But I’m no longer bothered by jealousy of a butterfly
When even butterflies die I’m not gonna waste my joy
I can live without flying
Why should i bother any longer
About a butterfly that drowned in may/me
To live, I do not have to be a butterfly any longer.
